Originally from New York City, Steven began painting, drawing and creating art at a young age. His art education, though mainly self-taught through life experiences and observation, included studying at Pratt Institute and the School of Visual Arts. His adult career has lead him through many different creative and business endeavors, while always thinking of returning to his artistic roots. In 2016, Steven began painting, creating and selling his latest original watercolors.

"My current work in watercolor is a blend of impressionism, semi - representational and abstract painting. I enjoy working with shape, texture, line and color, experimenting with spontaneous and controlled interactions of paint and water producing compositions that are fluid and vibrant. I enhance my imagery by lifting paint or layering colors to create texture and depth. My art is strongly influenced and representative of nature, the ocean, florals, trees and leaves."

Living on the scenic North Shore of Long Island near the water for over the past 33 years has allowed Steven to draw inspiration from the natural surroundings and its many idyllic settings.
